This site is mainly dedicated to FreeVimager, the Free Image Viewer & Editor for Windows. It can as well play avi video files and some type of audio files. There are many tools around doing that, but the aim of this Freeware is to be a small and handy tool doing what it says and running also as a standalone exe file (installer not necessary). With Version 1.7.0 (10th June 2008)  - In this release there are bug fixes and startup speed optimizations, download it from here

Features - View & Edit graphics file of type: jpeg, bmp, gif, tiff (multi-page), png and pcx

Weaknesses- No Thumbnail View. The standard File Explorer does the job well
- Available only in English
- No integrated burning module. FreeVimager uses Nero Burning ROM or the XP / Vista burning features
- At the moment only VfW codecs are supported for Video and Audio playback
- Runs only on Windows systems, tested on Wine (Windows API on Unix based systems)
- No mpeg or wmv files support
