  • Always remember to set the correct camera port, for RTSP that's usually 554 and for jpeg it's 80 (verify the port in the camera web interface).
  • Make sure the camera login is correct (verify it by entering the camera web interface).
  • If your camera is not listed try all the Generic possibilities.
  • You can also Contact Us, we will be happy to help.

For Advanced Users

If still not possible to connect search the camera's maker homepage for the GET Request Format. Enter the found GET-COMMAND in the Connect To dialog as an URL:

rtsp://IP:PORT/GET-COMMAND
or
http://IP:PORT/GET-COMMAND

For example axis cameras use for RTSP (with default port 554):

rtsp://IP/axis-media/media.amp

or for HTTP jpeg snapshots (with default port 80):

http://IP/axis-cgi/jpg/image.cgi

and for HTTP motion jpeg (with default port 80):

http://IP/axis-cgi/mjpg/video.cgi

Remember to replace IP with the camera's IP address.

Hint: if the camera's maker homepage is not helpful, try to search the GET-COMMAND here.
