- If your network camera is not starting and keeps showing the Please wait... message but you can reach it through the web browser (by entering its IP in the address bar) then your firewall may be blocking
ContaCam.exefrom setting up a connection to the camera. Add an exception to the firewall for theContaCam.exeexecutable.
- If the web interface fails to display then it can as well be the firewall that blocks the
mapache.exeweb server from listening to the set port (see the Global Settings dialog). Add an exception formapache.exeor allow the set port through the firewall.
Remember: most anti-virus solutions of today include also a firewall.
Note: an exception is automatically added by the ContaCam installer to the Windows Firewall for the ContaCam.exe program and for the mapache.exe executable (located under the microapache directory).
